April 18-21, 2001

English- Adverb test is Wednesday. All students have a test format in their notebooks. This format gives the directions for each section of the test so students know what they will be expected to do. No spiral this week. Science- Test on Erosion and Deposition sections 4-6 is Thursday. Please study a little each night. This is the last Science test to study for at home this year. For the next chapter, students will take a in-class, open book quiz for each section. I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter and a restful break! =)

April 11-15, 2011

Science- The test covering sections 1-3 of the packet is this Friday. Test format was given today (Monday). Homework each night is to study for the test. We will continue working in the packet, so don't get confused. The test covers sections 1-3 only. The test on sections 4-6 will be on Thursday, April 21. English- This week we will continue working on the Adverb unit. Test on this unit will be given on Tuesday, April 19th. No spiral this week. Sayings and Phrases project is due on Monday, April 18. F.Y.I. Summer Reading orders are due this Wednesday. School Supply orders are due this Friday. Progress Reports go home Thursday. All School Mass this Friday. Remember mass uniform and Food Bank.

CHANGES!

English- The test on the Adverb unit has been moved from Friday, April 15 to Tuesday, April 19. Many students are having trouble with this section already. We will continue working on it at school, but please check in with your child and see if they need some extra help at home. Sayings and Phrases project will still be due on Monday, April 18. Science- Instead of one test on the whole packet as stated in a previous post, we will have two smaller tests. The first one will cover sections 1-3 and will be given on Friday, April 15. Sections 1 and 2 will be completed and checked by the end of the week. Please encourage your child to start studying early! The test format will be given in class on Monday.

Science- This week we are starting a new packet from a new book. Test date has not been set yet. Test will cover the whole packet with study hints/tips from me. Please encourage your child to pay attention in class so they hear these helpful, time saving tips! A big THANK YOU to Dr. Lorio who spoke with 5C yesterday about tooth anatomy and his job as a dentist. It is always fun for the children to see Science in action! English- This week we will continue working through the unit on Adverbs. The test on this unit is scheduled for Friday, April 15. We will also continue working on the Sayings and Phrases project. Students will learn two new sayings each day. Homework each night is to complete the sayings for that day. The whole project is due on Monday, April 18.
