February 22-26, 2010

English- This week we will begin the next unit in the text, Adverbs. No English tests scheduled for this week.

Science- This week students will work on group projects dealing with disorders of the endocrine system. Each group was assigned a disorder and given the guidelines. The groups are to present very basic information about their disorder, create some type of visual, and have a handout for the class. All of this is listed on the handout they were given on Friday, in case you would like to look over that. Each group will create a 6 minute presentation for their class. Students will have all of class on Monday-Wednesday to work on this to prevent any chaos of having to meet up after school. Tuesday and Wednesday class will meet in the Media Center so students may work on handouts, powerpoints, or anything else they might need computer access to complete. Please let me know if you have any questions about this assignment. After hearing beginning stages of planning on Friday, I am excited to see the finished products!

TEST- On Wednesday students have a quiz on labeling the glands of the endocrine system. Students should study the Location, Location, Location worksheet in the packet. Test will include a word bank and is worth 10 points.
