Edible Cell Project

All students have completed plans for their edible cell. Half of each class will create an animal cell and half will create a plant cell. Students were given the opportunity to work with a group to create a plan and then share the responsibility of buying and bringing the different items. If your child has not already told you what he/she is responsible for bringing, please ask. All items must be edible and can't need refrigeration. All items should be brought to school on Wednesday...please don't send before. Additionally, if your child is a plant cell, icing for cytoplasm needs to be colored before coming to school. Groups/students were reminded not to forget items such as spoons, forks, etc. Plastic utensils that can be thrown away would be appreciated. If you have any questions about this project, please e-mail me.

Science Visitors

Earlier this week, 2 LSU students visited 2nd period to conduct an experiment. It was exciting for all students in that class. And, it was easy enough that they can re-create it at home for you!

Reminders

Tomorrow, December 8, is school mass. Don't forget to wear mass uniform and to bring a donation for Food Bank, if possible.

Parts of the Cell quiz is tomorrow.

Wednesday is the last day for all homerooms to collect for our service project. We still need many items. Please consider a donation if possible. If it is easier for you to send a dollar or two rather than head to the store, I will collect that and make one trip to Wal Mart or Dollar Tree on Wednesday night. Whatever works best for you. Thanks to everyone for their donations.
